A Night of Glamour at Fairmont Century Plaza

November 4, 2023 12:10 pm

White is a powerfully neutral color, allowing the personality and glamour of an event to truly shine. For Dina and Baron’s wedding at the Fairmont Century Plaza, we created classic arrangements with lots of white roses. Along with the plethora of candelabras lining the reception tables and the stunning chuppah dressed with orchids and more roses, lots and lots of candles added a romantic gleam. The wedding was a stunning display of timeless beauty, and we were delighted to be a part of it! Venue: Fairmont Century City Planner: Becker and The Co. The Reflection of Glamour at Saddlerock Ranch

September 12, 2023 11:53 am

There’s nothing like a little glam to add excitement and fun to a wedding design. For Rebecca and Ryan, we provided a mirror-covered chuppah bordered with orchids to give that lovely touch of glamour. We surrounded the chuppah’s posts with candles in glass hurricanes for a romantic feel. Mirrored tables and chargers literally reflected our cool white florals in the reception space. A mix of tall and short floral arrangements lined the long tables. White draping surrounded it all to set off the crisp, modern aesthetic. The showstopper was our massive ceiling installation of long, lush orchids. Even though it was the middle of the summer, the all-white mirrored glam made it feel like an idyllic winter wonderland. Spring-like White at Hummingbird Nest Ranch

June 27, 2023 3:35 pm

Juliana and Will chose springtime flowers like tulips for their wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. The result was pretty and stylish, with a modern spin – like the elegant bunches of calla lilies tied to the chiavari chairs along the wedding aisle. The chuppah was clear acrylic, allowing guests to see through it to the awe-inspiring view of mountains behind the Villa ceremony patio. We encrusted the top of the chuppah with dripping orchids, phalaenopsis orchids, and roses. We also decorated a custom wood display of shelves where guests found their escort cards with sprays of white flowers on each corner. Guests’ tables had crisp white linens and clusters of glass vases of roses and tulips. Gold rimmed chargers and... Read More

A One-of-a-Kind Chuppah at Four Seasons Westlake

March 15, 2023 11:27 am

A chuppah is typically in the shape of four straight posts with a tallit shawl draped overhead. Among other things, the chuppah symbolizes the wedding couple’s new home that they will create together. This special meaning inspires us to be creative with our chuppahs. For Dorsa and Eliot’s wedding at the Four Seasons Westlake Village, we created gracefully curved branches instead of straight posts. We filled out the frame with lots of eucalyptus and greenery, sprinkled with fresh white flowers. Inside the ballroom, we kept things light and airy with more white florals and baby’s breath, as well as a mix of blush and pink arrangements for additional color. Gorgeous patterned lighting everywhere by Sky Lighting Productions gave additional dimension... Read More

Natural Beauty at Saddlerock Ranch

October 12, 2022 2:32 pm

For many weddings, the wedding chuppah is the first thing guests see and presents an opportunity to make a big impact with wedding design. Most importantly, the chuppah is an important symbol of Jewish weddings. We try to make every chuppah special and unique, and for Nicole and Mateen’s Saddlrock Ranch wedding, we created a large, lush structure to shelter the couple and their family during their wedding vows. Tree trunks supported the chuppah, and each corner held full greenery and flowers; the chuppah looked as if it were created by four trees. We collected white wildflowers at the base of each ‘tree’.’ Natural florals lined the white catwalk aisle for a cohesive, organic look. We added gold accents to... Read More

Surprising Pops of Orange and Yellow at the Langham

September 1, 2022 4:12 pm

We love unexpected color combinations. For their elegant affair at the Langham Pasadena, Sarah and Matt wanted white florals and lots of greenery, but with pops of bright yellow and orange, too. We couldn’t wait to make this vibrant palette come to life. Sarah and Matt’s chuppah was one of the most unique we’ve ever created. We twined long strands of branches through drifts of fern and greenery, and added lots of white roses. Sprinkles of orange and yellow spray roses – spray roses are the smaller ‘cousins’ of standard-size roses – gave a cheerful vibrancy to the chuppah. In the ballroom, short and tall centerpieces featured the same base of loose greenery and and white flowers, with orange roses... Read More

Vivid Colors and Soft Romance at Saddlerock Ranch

June 7, 2022 2:46 pm

A spectrum of pinks and reds greeted Shawn and Melody’s wedding guests at their Saddlerock Ranch celebration. Their wedding chuppah featured soft blush and ivory; in the reception space – under a beautiful clear tent – our centerpieces featured fuchsia anemonies, pink ranunculus, blush hydrangeas, and bright red roses. Friendly and festive, this vivid color scheme was perfect for a spring wedding. Our weathered wood lanterns lined the carpeted ceremony aisle and matched the vintage-style cross-back wood chairs. Clusters of flowers sat atop the lanterns and matched the greenery and mix of ivory and blush flowers on the chuppah. In the reception tent, guests dined under twinkle lights and greenery, setting a romantic tone for the rest of the evening.... Read More

Lush Sophistication at Monarch Beach

January 7, 2022 4:31 pm

Event designers think a lot about chairs. Yes, chairs. Back in the day, choices for seating for special events were few – as in, two types of chairs: folding and chiavari. Now, you have chameleon, Louis IV, Ghost chairs…the list goes on! This diverse array of colors and shapes in event chairs gives designers more elements to play with. For Alyson and Philip’s big day at Monarch Beach, we provided rich, textural white florals with touches of greenery to provide a pretty counterpoint to sleek, sophisticated black “Washington” and “Dior” chairs. Along with neutral linens and soft drapery, their wedding reception looked like a classy supper club. For the ceremony, we created a chuppah fitting of the breezy seaside lawn,... Read More

Small Details, Big Style at Hummingbird Nest Ranch

December 30, 2021 1:32 pm

What seem like small details add up to impactful design statements at wedding ceremonies. For Michelle and Ryan’s event, we criss-crossed orchids along the structural supports of their wedding chuppah for a beautiful diamond pattern, emblematic of the bride’s engagement ring and symbolic of their lives joining forever. We worked with a palette of crisp white with mirrored accents, including the chic mirror seating ‘chart’. Inside the reception space – draped to set off the drama of the decor – we lined tables with sumptuous centerpieces and garlands of white florals, cascading down to the floor. The mirror theme continued with Oz chairs and tables. Clear chargers and black napkins completed this stylish, contemporary look. The true showstopper here –... Read More

A Wedding Chuppah Like No Other at Empire Polo Field

November 3, 2021 1:51 am

An all-important element of wedding ceremony design, the chuppah provides symbolic shelter for a wedding couple, and a focal point for guests at the front of the aisle. Melissa and JL wanted something lush, rustic, and eye-popping. Utilizing greenery, white florals and whimsical branches of curly willow, we created a big-is-better chuppah that wowed guests and blended in perfectly with the beautiful grounds of the Empire Polo Field. The reception took place in a tent with sumptuous draping and more overflowing greenery. Pops of fresh white flowers aligned with the all-white draping and flooring, and the rustic chairs and sea-blue linens. Vintage-style globe lights hung within our custom ceiling installations of greenery. More greenery edged the stage, and even served... Read More
