Blush pink ruled the day at Nadeea and Dux’s wedding at Terranea on a sunny, mild October afternoon. For the ceremony by the ocean, we created a frilly combination of orchids and roses on Terranea’s pergola. White chairs and a glossy white aisle provided a crisp counterpoint to the lightness of the flowers. We also oversaw the chic charcoal-black seating chart which held a champagne coupe for each guest! What a fun (and stylish) way to kick off the reception. Inside the ballroom, blush draping and flowers extended the light-pink theme. Tall centerpieces of overflowing flowers including orchids and roses, plus gold and black taper candles created a romantic yet modern feel to the room. We also added a phalaenopsis... Read More

Four Seasons Westlake Village is one of our favorite venues, and we love the feel of their newly renovated event spaces. Trish and Harrison went one step further, turning the Four Season’s chic ballroom into a nightclub for their wedding reception. The glam look started in the indoor ceremony space, with cascade upon cascade of white flowers along a white gate, and again at the wedding arch. The arch had a ‘curtain’ feel, with dainty flowers hanging along the middle. A mirrored catwalk set it all off with its reflective surface, adding a luxe, modern vibe. In the ballroom, gray carpet was installed, and banquettes of black velvet settees, gold metal chairs and glass tables created a cool clubby atmosphere.... Read More

Unlikely combinations of colors and textures are what we LIVE for here at Butterfly! When Shirin and Arsalan wanted to bring in black to a rustic theme at their Saddlerock Ranch wedding, we were 100% in. We made the black element work by keeping the rest of the color palette simple: White with greenery. Greenery bought in the rustic texture, and white gave the black a clean-cut, pristine counterpoint. We wound ruscus and white flowers around black arches on their ceremony aisle, and kept the greenery at a minimum for their all-white centerpieces in the reception. This monochromatic approach at the reception let the rustic wood of their tables really shine. The black napkins and chairs at the reception tables... Read More

There is no more modern a look than a crisp black and white wedding. Dale and Nick wanted this palette at their wedding, allowing us to play with different materials and shapes to bring lots of visual interest to their design. At the ceremony space, we attached sprays of white roses to white metal stands, giving a dimensional look to the end-of-aisle decor. The chuppah echoed this black and white wedding look, too, with more open-air stands with clusters of flowers throughout. Another standout? The gorgeous seating chart in black with white script, and surrounded by more gorgeous clusters of white flowers and tons of candles. In the ballroom, black draping played off of a glossy white dance floor, and... Read More

Pauline and Alex’s modern affair definitely takes the black and white combo to new levels of chic! If you are seeking inspiration for your wedding day, no need to look further. Simply scroll down through the amazing shots of this special event captured by Dmitry Shumanev Production. The ceremony, held outdoors, was incredibly modern with a stunning acrylic chuppah topped with a wide border of baby’s breath. The backside of the chuppah was enclosed with a wall of greenery where contrasting arrangements of crisp white orchids sat in front to complete the backdrop. An acrylic arch, along with glass vases and transparent chairs, combined with stunning waves of baby’s breath lining the aisle, created a classy and polished setting. Mr.C‘s... Read More
