For this multicultural wedding, we created a tasteful design in vivid red. We softened this intense color with lots of greenery and ivory. The grooms, Darren and Nima, chose the gorgeous Calamigos Ranch as their wedding venue, and our red roses really popped against the rustic backdrop of the setting. The ceremony featured aisle decor of greenery like eucalyptus, and ivory and red roses. The ceremony arch was a stunner: more greenery, white flowers, and red flowers, in an alternating pattern that provided a high-impact focal point to the wedding. The arch also beautifully framed the sofreh, designed by Elegant Sofreh Design. The reception featured deep crimson flowers like ranunculus, and we created a draping ornamentation of lots of greenery... Read More

Pink comes in so many shades – blush, fuchsia, mauve, hot pink – and the flower world offers lots of variations of this romantic color. So when Shruti and Alec came to us to design their Calamigos Malibu wedding, we couldn’t wait to use the wide spectrum of pinks available to us. First, the ceremony: We built a clear, modern mandap with acrylic and bordered the top with a mix of pink and ivory flowers. We also swagged a beautiful pink-mauve chiffon fabric along the top and sides of the structure. The ceremonial garlands for bride and groom featured purple-white and soft pink carnations, along with perfect stripes of deep green. At the reception, tall centerpieces displayed a variety of... Calamigos Ranch offers a whimsical, pastoral venue for weddings. Jessika and Adrian married among the dreamy trees and hanging lights in the Pavilion ceremony space; then, guests partied among nearby carnival rides and under Calamigos’ elegant tent. Our round ceremony structure, decorated with white roses, served as a dramatic backdrop for the couple. The natural mix of white flowers and greenery continued through the cocktail hour and reception space. We dressed the fireplace mantel with lots of gorgeous flowers, and moved the ceremony backdrop to the reception space to add visual impact to the sweetheart table. Jewel tones bring a deep vibrancy to an event, an unexpected bold vibe. Flowers come in so many gem-like hues, that for Jamie and Rusty we had a ton of options to work with. We focused on pinks, reds, and purples, with accents of blush to keep the look from seeming too ‘heavy.’ The Oaks Room ceremony space at Calamigos Ranch features a natural-looking arch that we decorated with lots of pink, purple, and red flowers as well as greenery to impart a loose, organic feel. We also decorated a chuppah to stand underneath the arch, adding lots of greenery along the posts. In the reception, loads of flowers accented every space, including the fireplace, along the tables, and cascading... Read More

For Mena and Cyrus’ winter wedding in Southern California, we ran with the foresty surroundings of Calamigos and decorated with tons of greenery – including above the sofreh and surrounding the welcome sign. Ivory roses everywhere provided a pretty and lush contrast, from the all-white bouquets of the bridesmaids to the classically simple centerpieces on the dining tables. We also provided florals and rose blooms for the beautiful sofreh. The seafoam bridesmaid dresses and linens wove seamlessly into the overall look. Calamigos Ranch takes the word ‘rustic’ to a whole other level. Their Redwood Room offers the polish of distinct architecture, ornate chandeliers, and stone fireplace for a warm and woodsy feel yet with an elegant touch. Sarah and Yon chose the venue for its unique charm, and we provided florals and decor to enhance this sense of rustic elegance. With the venue’s wood beams and details as a backdrop, we brought in greenery, white flowers, and rose-colored linens for a subtle blend of romantic shades reminiscent of a beautiful garden. We set tall centerpieces of lush greenery and pops of flowers and tall taper candles on round tables. The long tables featured low, no-less-lush centerpieces and more candles (you can... Read More

When two people promise to wed, it’s a cause for celebration! This engagement party, at Calamigos Ranch, combined classic decor with clever personalization. Our favorite touch was the bright pink neon sign with the couples’ hash tag. The color palette featured light pink, white, and cool lime green, creating a springlike feel. Our green taper candles in hurricanes and gleaming silver lanterns alternated with flowers on long tables, as well as dramatic long ‘bridge’ floral pieces, adorned with gleaming, fairly-lit bulbs. Check out the modern donut wall in the background! Always a guest favorite, we topped the wall with greenery for a decorative accent. A lush piece of amaranthus, roses, and textural greens highlight the oh-so-clever neon sign. VENDORS: Floral... Read More
