Juliana and Will chose springtime flowers like tulips for their wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. The result was pretty and stylish, with a modern spin – like the elegant bunches of calla lilies tied to the chiavari chairs along the wedding aisle. The chuppah was clear acrylic, allowing guests to see through it to the awe-inspiring view of mountains behind the Villa ceremony patio. We encrusted the top of the chuppah with dripping orchids, phalaenopsis orchids, and roses. We also decorated a custom wood display of shelves where guests found their escort cards with sprays of white flowers on each corner. One of our specialties is creating lush overhead installations of florals. Usually, you need a ballroom ceiling to do that type of thing! But working with the right vendors, we can create such drama anywhere. In this case, we worked with Town & Country Event Rentals to accent Alexandra and Mattan’s dance floor at their venue, Hummingbird Nest Ranch. Town and Country created a framework of trussing for us so we could safely attach our florals, and the result was a stunning installation of white orchids with accents of greenery. When you first think of a summer wedding, light, bright colors come to mind – whites, pinks, green, yellow. But this wedding at Hummingbird’s Nest Ranch proves that black, yes, black, can add a sophisticated touch to any event. Marjan and Julian chose the broad vistas of Hummingbird’s Nest Ranch for their wedding, the perfect blank canvas for their vision. A large pergola-style structure encompassed a lounge area, tables, and dance floor for the reception; the ceremony featured a mirror walkway, mirrored chuppah, and tons of white flowers, including callas and orchids. It takes so many details to design a stunning, one-of-a-kind wedding. For this luxurious Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding at their Villa location, every aspect of the decor had to contribute to a rich, vibrant palette, from the deep red roses all around the portico at the ceremony to the swags of purple along the tent. In the ceremony area, we surrounded the existing portico with lush greenery and roses, with an aisle border to match. For the reception tables, we designed collections of compotes filled with red roses, and tapered red candles, and mercury votives.
