What a dreamy wedding! This Hummingbird Nest Ranch celebration was full of soft romance, from our multiple round arches framing the ceremony to the arrangements in pretty stone pots down the aisle, to the awe-inducing canopy of greenery and roses in the reception tent. Clara and Noah wanted a light palette of blush, pink, and ivory, accented by a generous heaping of greenery. We also added the arrangements in individual concrete pots finished in a rustic ivory, as if they were taken from the garden of an English estate. The arch motif continued in the reception tent, where arches were placed over guest tables and behind the sweetheart table. Collections of vases holding roses; alstilbe; and lisianthus lined the tables,... Read More

Juliana and Will chose springtime flowers like tulips for their wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. The result was pretty and stylish, with a modern spin – like the elegant bunches of calla lilies tied to the chiavari chairs along the wedding aisle. The chuppah was clear acrylic, allowing guests to see through it to the awe-inspiring view of mountains behind the Villa ceremony patio. We encrusted the top of the chuppah with dripping orchids, phalaenopsis orchids, and roses. We also decorated a custom wood display of shelves where guests found their escort cards with sprays of white flowers on each corner. Guests’ tables had crisp white linens and clusters of glass vases of roses and tulips. Gold rimmed chargers and... Read More

One of our specialties is creating lush overhead installations of florals. Usually, you need a ballroom ceiling to do that type of thing! But working with the right vendors, we can create such drama anywhere. In this case, we worked with Town & Country Event Rentals to accent Alexandra and Mattan’s dance floor at their venue, Hummingbird Nest Ranch. Town and Country created a framework of trussing for us so we could safely attach our florals, and the result was a stunning installation of white orchids with accents of greenery. We also lined the arches of the Ranch’s architecture with lush garlands of more greenery and classically beautiful white flowers. Our chuppah echoed this color scheme, too, a gorgeous showpiece... For their multicultural ceremony, Sasha and Aneesh asked for light, pretty colors mixed with vivid accents. We styled the existing pergola at Hummingbird Nest Ranch with garlands of hot pink florals for the mandap portion of the ceremony. We removed the hot pink garlands for the second ceremony, and kept the border of soft green and pink florals and greenery. In the reception space, we gave a fresh garden feel to the round tables with light pink roses interspersed with lush greenery, and for a special touch, vine winding down the stands holding the tall centerpieces. On long tables, we created ‘floating’ centerpieces of textural, classic arrangements on clear plastic bridge stands. Hanging bulbs with candles added to the magic... Read More

Cameron and Ander wanted soft but striking colors and textures for their Hummingbird Nest Wedding this past July, particularly peach and green. The ceremony featured a stunning garland bordering a vintage door, for a one-of-a-kind backdrop to their vows. Spiky protea mixed in with lush greenery and pretty roses added an unexpected pop of playfulness. Peach, sage green, and gold elements mixed with ornamental touches of fruit and antiqued wood pillar candle holders. Along with vintage-style cutlery and glassware and wood tables, their dinner reception felt like it took place on the grounds of a grand estate. Yael and Coby’s Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding took full advantage of the outdoor setting. A clear tent allowed guests to still see the starry sky at night, and the ceremony backdrop was a stunning view of the mountains. Wildflower aisle pieces and dreamy, airy white flowers and branches on the chuppah added to the classic but outdoorsy feel. We accented the white florals with blush candle sticks along the dining tables, which vibed perfectly with the gold dinnerware and blush glassware. Chiffon runners gently added a focal point to the tables as well. Ruscus greenery floated down from the top of tent, for a perfect final touch. Check out all the beauty below, in photos by M. Michelle and Ernesto decided to bring in flashes of gold in their deco-inspired wedding at Hummingbirds Nest Ranch, and we couldn’t wait to tackle this design theme! We incorporated black table risers and gold pillars into our gorgeous centerpieces of greenery and white flowers. Anemones were also included in our centerpieces, with their black centers and white petals, for a perfect addition to the black and white palette. For the ceremony, black pedestals with gold geometrical lines furthered the overall look. Michelle and Ernesto completed the look with neutral gray linens, chic black and gold cutlery and on-point deco style menus. Every couple wants their guests to feel at home at their wedding – a space with character. For their Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding, Karen and Parham worked with us to create a warm, lovely feel with generously flowing greenery, pops of white flowers, and rustic wood touches from A Rental Connection. From the round wood bar to our charming lanterns, to the exquisite chuppah with rows of roses wrapping its posts, the feel was custom, personal, and welcoming. We lined each table with full floral centerpieces continuing the greenery and rose motif; and we decorated the gates leading to the Villa space’s ceremony area with more florals. Another unique touch: Our carved wood pillar holders. They have an antique feel... Read More

What seem like small details add up to impactful design statements at wedding ceremonies. For Michelle and Ryan’s event, we criss-crossed orchids along the structural supports of their wedding chuppah for a beautiful diamond pattern, emblematic of the bride’s engagement ring and symbolic of their lives joining forever. We worked with a palette of crisp white with mirrored accents, including the chic mirror seating ‘chart’. Inside the reception space – draped to set off the drama of the decor – we lined tables with sumptuous centerpieces and garlands of white florals, cascading down to the floor. The mirror theme continued with Oz chairs and tables. Clear chargers and black napkins completed this stylish, contemporary look. The true showstopper here –... Read More

When you first think of a summer wedding, light, bright colors come to mind – whites, pinks, green, yellow. But this wedding at Hummingbird’s Nest Ranch proves that black, yes, black, can add a sophisticated touch to any event. Marjan and Julian chose the broad vistas of Hummingbird’s Nest Ranch for their wedding, the perfect blank canvas for their vision. A large pergola-style structure encompassed a lounge area, tables, and dance floor for the reception; the ceremony featured a mirror walkway, mirrored chuppah, and tons of white flowers, including callas and orchids. Most eye-catching of all, the reception design highlighted chic black touches in the form of black curtains backing the stage, our cylinder and bud vases, and lounge furniture. ... Read More
