The Reflection of Glamour at Saddlerock Ranch

September 12, 2023 11:53 am

There’s nothing like a little glam to add excitement and fun to a wedding design. For Rebecca and Ryan, we provided a mirror-covered chuppah bordered with orchids to give that lovely touch of glamour. We surrounded the chuppah’s posts with candles in glass hurricanes for a romantic feel. Mirrored tables and chargers literally reflected our cool white florals in the reception space. A mix of tall and short floral arrangements lined the long tables. White draping surrounded it all to set off the crisp, modern aesthetic. The showstopper was our massive ceiling installation of long, lush orchids. Even though it was the middle of the summer, the all-white mirrored glam made it feel like an idyllic winter wonderland. Coral Crescents at Saddlerock Ranch

February 15, 2023 11:22 am

A unique ceremony backdrop is the key to creating a big impact during the exchange of vows. For Carolyne and Ben, we designed a series of crescent shapes encrusted with roses in shades of pink and coral. The result was truly eye popping, adding a sense of modern romance to the ceremony. The reception featured cool grays in the chairs and table tops, a perfect neutral complement to our coral and pink centerpieces. We broke up the pretty pinks with touches of light green hydrangeas and ruscus greenery. The round tables featured coral linens, upon which we perched tall, elegant centerpieces in a mix of light yellow, pink, coral and light green. Adding a modern touch were our gray concrete... Black, White, and Rustic at Saddlerock Ranch

Unlikely combinations of colors and textures are what we LIVE for here at Butterfly! When Shirin and Arsalan wanted to bring in black to a rustic theme at their Saddlerock Ranch wedding, we were 100% in. We made the black element work by keeping the rest of the color palette simple: White with greenery. Greenery bought in the rustic texture, and white gave the black a clean-cut, pristine counterpoint. We wound ruscus and white flowers around black arches on their ceremony aisle, and kept the greenery at a minimum for their all-white centerpieces in the reception. This monochromatic approach at the reception let the rustic wood of their tables really shine. The black napkins and chairs at the reception tables... Read More

Taking the Church Outside at Saddlerock Ranch

December 20, 2022 1:18 pm

During the COVID lockdown, many churches were closed for health and safety reasons. Priscilla and Will wanted to bring the church outside for their wedding – and we were thrilled to help set the scene! The couple rented church pews for ceremony seating (courtesy of Found Rentals) and we created a beautiful backdrop consisting of wood pieces echoing the stained glass windows of a traditional church. Tons of greenery and white flowers accented the arches. We also added an arch at the end of the aisle featuring actual doors – just like the entrance of a church. The reception space was a beautiful tent with swagging and more greenery. A black and white scheme reflected in chameleon chairs, linens, and... Read More

A Beautiful Blend of Colors and Textures at Saddlerock Ranch

August 9, 2022 8:41 am

When you think of florals, you often think of beautiful flowers arranged in a clear vase. But in the floral and event design world, there are tons of different kinds of containers for arrangements, not just clear glass. Chelsea and Hank wanted to play with a variety of materials for their event design – they wanted pottery, metal vases, and even standalone wood pieces for their decor. We worked with terra cotta and cement pots and urns, as well as a variety of other containers, for this sophisticated wedding at Saddlerock Ranch. For our color theme, we used lots of greenery and green flowers (like hydrangeas) accented with pink from pampas grass, astilbe, and proteas. Collections of small and large... Read More
