A chuppah is typically in the shape of four straight posts with a tallit shawl draped overhead. Among other things, the chuppah symbolizes the wedding couple’s new home that they will create together. This special meaning inspires us to be creative with our chuppahs. For Dorsa and Eliot’s wedding at the Four Seasons Westlake Village, we created gracefully curved branches instead of straight posts. We filled out the frame with lots of eucalyptus and greenery, sprinkled with fresh white flowers. Inside the ballroom, we kept things light and airy with more white florals and baby’s breath, as well as a mix of blush and pink arrangements for additional color. Gorgeous patterned lighting everywhere by Sky Lighting Productions gave additional dimension... Read More

For many weddings, the wedding chuppah is the first thing guests see and presents an opportunity to make a big impact with wedding design. Most importantly, the chuppah is an important symbol of Jewish weddings. We try to make every chuppah special and unique, and for Nicole and Mateen’s Saddlrock Ranch wedding, we created a large, lush structure to shelter the couple and their family during their wedding vows. Tree trunks supported the chuppah, and each corner held full greenery and flowers; the chuppah looked as if it were created by four trees. We collected white wildflowers at the base of each ‘tree’.’ Natural florals lined the white catwalk aisle for a cohesive, organic look. We added gold accents to... Read More

We love unexpected color combinations. For their elegant affair at the Langham Pasadena, Sarah and Matt wanted white florals and lots of greenery, but with pops of bright yellow and orange, too. We couldn’t wait to make this vibrant palette come to life. Sarah and Matt’s chuppah was one of the most unique we’ve ever created. We twined long strands of branches through drifts of fern and greenery, and added lots of white roses. Sprinkles of orange and yellow spray roses – spray roses are the smaller ‘cousins’ of standard-size roses – gave a cheerful vibrancy to the chuppah. In the ballroom, short and tall centerpieces featured the same base of loose greenery and and white flowers, with orange roses... Read More

Hidden away in a private home, Shai and Candice wed surrounded by family and friends for a springtime wedding reminiscent of a secret English garden. Our lush arches and setpieces gave the event a quietly elegant feel; weaving in roses, various greenery, and even lemons imbued our design with an organic, natural look – as if each centerpiece was gathered from the backyard, yet arranged with sense of refinement. The ceremony featured a large arch and aisle pieces; the eclectic, vintage-style white chairs added texture and romance to the setup. Our core design color of yellow – butter yellow, lemon yellow, and everything in between – lilghtened up the thick greenery. And – doves! We accented these beautiful birds’ cage... Read More

Roses and romance are one and the same when it comes to the symbolism of love, and this wedding was no exception. We created lush textures with ivory, pink, and mauve roses for the wedding ceremony, with a grand chuppah and matching floral arch. In the reception, we continued the look, adding a sense of lightness provided by sprays of orchids in the tabletop centerpieces. The stunning backdrop of the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel – as you can see by now, a favorite of ours – heightened the overall affect. See photos below by Jessica Claire, and special shout-out to Maryam Forutan from Delicate Details for running a smooth and successful wedding! Delicate roses hang down along the back of... Read More

The Millennium Biltmore has been a backdrop to many of our most lavish weddings. This historic hotel was the epicenter of Old Hollywood and now is a sought-after venue for luxury weddings. The ornate ceilings, draped balconies, and Deco details are one of a kind, providing endless wedding inspiration for floral design. For their wedding flowers, our couple wanted the fresh vitality of a garden with the glam of gold and glass accents. We worked with a palette of whites and ivory, in the form of roses, weaving in lush greenery for a springlike feel. Our design featured our custom metalwork, in the form of candle holders, as well as large bridge centerpieces and opulent urn pieces. Working alongside an... Read More

Who doesn’t love greenery? When the rustic trend came upon the wedding world a few years ago, it thrilled designers and florists everywhere. Greenery can be used to add lush depth and dimension to wedding floral design. For this sumptuous wedding at the Four Seasons Westlake Village, we used tons (well, not literally – but close!) of pepper tree, eucalyptus, and other foliage to create a dreamy look for our couple. Lin and Jirsa captured it all on camera, and Maryam Forutan, owner of Delicate Details, helped ensure all elements of this amazing wedding came together beautifully. A Chuppah with Greenery and White Flowers The centerpiece of the wedding ceremony was this chuppah, overflowing with greenery, amaranthus, and white and... Read More

One of our favorite venues is the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel. Their Crystal Garden is a private, gorgeous outdoor area with a built-in gazebo upon which we have designed some of our must stunning chuppahs. For this event, we brought in a rich spectrum of pinks, ivory, a touch of peach, and greenery to create a romantic atmosphere for our clients. Simple, sweet peony bouquet Many brides dream of a peony bouquet, and this bride was no different. Pink and ivory peonies combined with perfect ivory roses for this bridal bouquet. A blush, pink, and ivory rose chuppah We encrusted the original gazebo with waves of roses and greenery, using varying depths and types of roses to create texture, but... Read More

Hummingbird Nest Ranch is a space set apart from all others: A sprawling ranch turned event space, it features massive lawns and gorgeous architecture. With the Santa Susana Mountains as a backdrop, it’s a truly special place for a wedding. For this celebration, the clients wanted rich red to be a focus, along with luxurious amounts of greenery and vibrant corals, yellows, and light pink. And the chuppah had to be amazing. Of course, that’s one of our specialties, and we created a stunning chuppah with a light ombre effect. A Breathtaking Chuppah with Rich Red Roses The Chuppah featured a spectrum of color, carefully placed for a slight ombre affect, starting with rich red roses at the base of... Read More
