For this multicultural wedding, we created a tasteful design in vivid red. We softened this intense color with lots of greenery and ivory. The grooms, Darren and Nima, chose the gorgeous Calamigos Ranch as their wedding venue, and our red roses really popped against the rustic backdrop of the setting. The ceremony featured aisle decor of greenery like eucalyptus, and ivory and red roses. The ceremony arch was a stunner: more greenery, white flowers, and red flowers, in an alternating pattern that provided a high-impact focal point to the wedding. The San Francisco Design Center is an ideal backdrop for an event, with its streamlined architecture and highceilings. Shivani and Milap kept the palette perfect for the Center’s white walls and blond wood, asking us to work with soft, romantic colors, like blush and ivory. We also wove in lots of greenery, but still kept the overall look tailored, so as not to overwhelm the modern feel of the space. So, while our arch and centerpieces featured tons of texture, they were were still composed with a careful balance of color and texture. A fall wedding brings to mind rich autumnal colors, like copper, terra cotta, and goldenrod. For Mercedes and Kyle’s wedding at a private home, we created a gorgeous design full of vibrant textures and shades that brought both a natural charm and easy elegance to their celebration. The backyard of the home featured a pool, and we floated curves of rose petals in golden-yellow and burnt orange. We also lined a rustic wood aisle with arrangements of wildflowers, roses, and greenery in orange, red, coral, and even touches of blue. Ojai has a magic feel to it – you’re just a couple hours from the city of Los Angeles, but it feels like it’s in another universe. Lots of rolling hills and an amazing countryside give the property a romantic seclusion – the perfect place to celebrate a wedding. For this wedding, we got bold! Splashes of pink, orange, coral, and purples blended together in an eye popping design. Olivia and Ari wanted to observe Jewish traditions with a very unique, fun flair, and we dove right into the challenge. The couple chose a black and white harlequin-style pattern for their aisle, emboldened by black ceremony chairs. We provided a high-impact counterpoint to the black with pops of orange, pink, and red flowers along the aisle. Juliana and Will chose springtime flowers like tulips for their wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch. The result was pretty and stylish, with a modern spin – like the elegant bunches of calla lilies tied to the chiavari chairs along the wedding aisle. The chuppah was clear acrylic, allowing guests to see through it to the awe-inspiring view of mountains behind the Villa ceremony patio. We encrusted the top of the chuppah with dripping orchids, phalaenopsis orchids, and roses. We also decorated a custom wood display of shelves where guests found their escort cards with sprays of white flowers on each corner. Pink comes in so many shades – blush, fuchsia, mauve, hot pink – and the flower world offers lots of variations of this romantic color. So when Shruti and Alec came to us to design their Calamigos Malibu wedding, we couldn’t wait to use the wide spectrum of pinks available to us. First, the ceremony: We built a clear, modern mandap with acrylic and bordered the top with a mix of pink and ivory flowers. We also swagged a beautiful pink-mauve chiffon fabric along the top and sides of the structure. A ballroom reception accented with trees creates a high-impact look that always wows guests. For Bita and Neema’s Beverly Wilshire wedding, we brought in pepper trees and wove pepper tree branches into their tall centerpieces, too. Fuchsia, pink, and blush roses accented the space with beautiful color. The overall look was romantic, dramatic, and bold. For the ceremony, we bordered the glossy white dance floor with lots of pink baby’s breath, providing a dreamy look for the vows and accenting the sentimental feel of the sofreh. The ceremony and reception space at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey welcomes a neutral, pretty, blush-pink vibe. Inspired, the bride and groom asked us to design beautiful, blush-y florals. The ceremony was perfect elegance with cascading blush and ivory florals along the existing gazebo at the Ritz. We also created a beautiful curlicue design on the ceremony lawn and grand centerpieces at the beginning of the aisle. In the reception ballroom, we lined the head table with collections of pink, blush and ivory florals, and tall centerpieces stood on the round tables. One of our specialties is creating lush overhead installations of florals. Usually, you need a ballroom ceiling to do that type of thing! But working with the right vendors, we can create such drama anywhere. In this case, we worked with Town & Country Event Rentals to accent Alexandra and Mattan’s dance floor at their venue, Hummingbird Nest Ranch. Town and Country created a framework of trussing for us so we could safely attach our florals, and the result was a stunning installation of white orchids with accents of greenery.
