A Simply Perfect Color Palette at Bel Air Bay Club

August 4, 2022 11:50 am

When you have a stunning backdrop for your ceremony like the ocean view at Bel Air Bay Club, it’s all about highlighting the surroundings, not distracting from them. Danielle and Casey wanted a crisp, lush blend of white flowers and lots of greenery, a simple palette that let the ceremony space truly shine. We created a full, textural chuppah with lots of white roses and greenery – including ruscus and lemon leaf – atop a modern white stage. At cocktail hour, our photobooth backdrop and fountain featured more classic white roses and greenery for a consistent palette. In the ballroom, we added lovely light blush pink florals for more color and dimension to the overall look. This was the perfect... Read More

A Magical Canopy of Flowers at Beverly Hills Hotel

February 1, 2022 1:26 pm

Special touches set each event apart. For Ayla and Bruce, that meant making the Crystal Garden at the Beverly Hills Hotel even more magical by installing lots of flowers and greenery overhead. Upside down roses and white orchids hung down above guests’ heads, along with lots of twinkle lights. We dressed the beautiful existing arch with blush, pink, and ivory roses and tons of greenery. The blush roses worked so well against the bride’s stunning nude-blush colored dress. Inside the ballroom, deep red and maroon flowers provided a vivid counterpoint to the light pinks of the room. Other special touches include a lush bridal bouquet and a large spray of greenery and white flowers on the gorgeously calligraphed seating chart... Read More

Lush Sophistication at Monarch Beach

Event designers think a lot about chairs. Yes, chairs. Back in the day, choices for seating for special events were few – as in, two types of chairs: folding and chiavari. Now, you have chameleon, Louis IV, Ghost chairs…the list goes on! This diverse array of colors and shapes in event chairs gives designers more elements to play with. For Alyson and Philip’s big day at Monarch Beach, we provided rich, textural white florals with touches of greenery to provide a pretty counterpoint to sleek, sophisticated black “Washington” and “Dior” chairs. Along with neutral linens and soft drapery, their wedding reception looked like a classy supper club. For the ceremony, we created a chuppah fitting of the breezy seaside lawn,... Read More

Magical Green Garden Wedding at Monarch Beach Resort

February 19, 2021 3:15 am

Standing at the center of the Pacific Lawn at the Monarch Beach Resort, a grand greenery chuppah easily commanded the ceremony space. Constructed from natural wooden posts covered in green ivy and moss, the top was blossoming with a lush creation of pepper berry and assorted white florals. The couple opted for a custom chuppah rather than use the existing hotel gazebo so that they could uniquely arrange their ceremony in a round, easily giving all guests a great view for their vows. A long-mirrored catwalk was built specifically for the occasion and beautifully reflected the long row of pillar candles that bordered the aisle on each side. The romantic greenery continued in the reception, where custom pergolas were created... Read More

Stylish Wedding Celebration at the Beverly Wilshire

October 6, 2020 6:34 pm

The ornate trims and classic color scheme of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills was the perfect setting for Emily and Robert’s chic celebration. To create a timeless, yet stylish design, the color palette was composed of the classic green and white tones, with glamorous touches of black and silver. Let’s start with their gorgeous rooftop ceremony! Using a clear acrylic structure, our team created a modern chuppah with towering, dense greens. White flower blooms were nestled between the textured greenery, where the airy design created a whimsically romantic area for the couple to wed. Transparent chairs added modern lines and surrounding buildings served as a unique backdrop. At the reception, a mix of round and rectangular tables set... Read More
