Glints of Gold at Hummingbird Nest Ranch

March 31, 2022 2:29 pm

Michelle and Ernesto decided to bring in flashes of gold in their deco-inspired wedding at Hummingbirds Nest Ranch, and we couldn’t wait to tackle this design theme! We incorporated black table risers and gold pillars into our gorgeous centerpieces of greenery and white flowers. Anemones were also included in our centerpieces, with their black centers and white petals, for a perfect addition to the black and white palette. For the ceremony, black pedestals with gold geometrical lines furthered the overall look. Michelle and Ernesto completed the look with neutral gray linens, chic black and gold cutlery and on-point deco style menus. Go back in time to the world of deco-glam with this perfectly unique wedding! Floral Design: Butterfly Floral and Event... Read More

Whimsical Black and White Wedding at Monarch Beach Resort

May 30, 2020 11:29 pm

The couple decided on a chic black and white color palette that allowed their florals to shine. They said “I Do” at the Monarch Beach Resort surrounded by friends and family and an array of beautiful blooms. We created overflowing waves of white roses, phalaenopsis orchids, and greenery with a grand chuppah for the ceremony. Moving in the reception, we used the same color scheme, adding tulips, white dendrobium orchids, and hyacinths inside the ballroom. Tall, glamorous centerpieces on round tables were mixed with charming low florals nestled below crystal candelabras on long mirror top tables. Heavy candlelight throughout the room added warmth and comfort to the atmosphere.  Floral Design: Butterfly Floral and Event Design Planning: A Kate Carlson Event Photography: Dmitry Shumanev... Real Wedding: Glam Garden Wedding at the Millennium Biltmore

April 2, 2019 2:24 pm

The Millennium Biltmore has been a backdrop to many of our most lavish weddings. This historic hotel was the epicenter of Old Hollywood and now is a sought-after venue for luxury weddings. The ornate ceilings, draped balconies, and Deco details are one of a kind, providing endless wedding inspiration for floral design. For their wedding flowers, our couple wanted the fresh vitality of a garden with the glam of gold and glass accents. We worked with a palette of whites and ivory, in the form of roses, weaving in lush greenery for a springlike feel. Our design featured our custom metalwork, in the form of candle holders, as well as large bridge centerpieces and opulent urn pieces. Working alongside an... Read More

Natural and Luxe at Malibu Rocky Oaks

March 6, 2019 2:54 am

At this Malibu Rocky Oaks wedding, our couple wanted a fresh, natural look, mixed with upscale touches – collections of chic candles, bespoke glassware, and rose gold elements. Planner Shelli Armstrong expertly brought it all together for a stunning event. A crown-like circle of greenery rimmed the ceremony platform, flanked with wood pillars and compote arrangements. The sweetheart table featured lush urn arrangements set atop wood pillars. Rich floral runners of eucalpytus and ivory roses spilled over rustic wood tables. How perfect are these salt and pepper cellars with the tiny service spoons? The table settings feature copper-rose gold and marble-style elements, and an adorable bloom of ivory rose on each charger. We draped greenery and white orchids on Malibu... Read More

Real Wedding: Quiet Elegance at the Langham Pasadena

March 1, 2019 2:11 am

Many of the weddings we design host literally hundreds of people – huge events with lots of guests. But some of the smaller, more intimate affairs are just as innovative design-wise as our larger events. For this wedding of less than 75 guests, the couple wanted to add architectural designs to their florals, and we were happy to oblige, from the circle of roses behind the couple – that later accented the cake table – to the lush flower wall behind the sweetheart table. As always, we enjoyed working with the confident and capable Katie Lee from Bella Destinee, and photographer Andy Seo. Gold chairs by Palace Party Rental vibed perfectly with the soft whites and ivories of the florals.... Read More

First Impressions: Stunning Escort Card Design

February 5, 2019 1:54 pm

Often, the escort card table is one of the first thing guests see as they arrive at your wedding; or, after the ceremony as guests file towards your reception, it’s the first element of the reception decor and a change of pace from the ceremony. It basically kickstarts the most fun part of the evening – the emotion and introspection of the ceremony gives away to dinner, dancing, and, yes, the open bar! Below are some of our most innovative escort card tables and designs. This escort card display was for a large wedding (over 700 guests). Modern white shelves served as a backdrop, with orchids flowing from glass vessels, and candles – lots of candles. This wood stand held... Read More
